I have noticed that the current prototype sends a series of duplicate temperature readings. Is this necessary? I am of the view that only the readings from the SHT2X sensor be considered in the new design. This is because sending such duplicates might be a waste of bandwidth. Is there a reason for doing so?
Also, we have not received a recommendation from RC1 on the rain gauge to consider. Any suggestions on the way forward? I am asking this because different rain gauges may be placed at different heights
Information about the sensor node status like power , RSSI, LQI are sent as frequent as the meteorological parameters. A suggestion to save power and bandwidth could be to separate these so that they are transmitted less frequently. Just wondering if the bandwidth consumed is significant. But may be this is a subject of investigation. It is just that in Africa, we have Internet problems.
