As part of the Sci-GaIA activities aiming to maximize the project’s impact and visibility, partners participate to numerous events around the world to disseminate information about the project.
A presentation on Sci-GaIA has been accepted for the EGI Community Forum 2015 to be included in the Virtual Research Environments session on November 12, at 15:50 PM.
EGI Community Forum will take place in Bari, Italy on November 10-13, 2015. The Forum is organised by EGI Foundation in collaboration with the partners of the Italian National Grid Initiative (INFN, INAF and INGV) and hosted by INFN-Bari. It aims at gathering tool developers, infrastructure providers, data providers and research communities to work together towards open science.
Roberto Barbera from University of Catania, one of Sci-GaIA project partners, will present the consortium running Sci-GaIA, its workplan and the current status of the activities. Special focus will be given on the tools and services deployed to support the development of e-Infrastructures in Africa and train the CoPs working in that continent and collaborating with their counterparts in Europe. Opportunities for participation and collaboration for EGI-related communities will also be outlined and discussed.
