hi @ all;
we are about to prepare our DARIAH-CC workshop for the EURALEX-congres (tbilisi/GE, sept 5th).
briefly, the idea is that attendants
- bring their own data
- upload their own data
- edit them
- enrich them (with linked open data - and certain services such as common names service for plants, semantic search engine data etc.)
- analyse and visualize them (we are about to fix some tools for this)
for that purpose, we need
- An open science repository
- Tools and services (SSE, PSSE, pybossa,...) + data visualization and data enrichment.
- Interconnection between 1. and 2.
I enjoyed very much the presentation at Catania hackfest with the convincing Sci-GaIA portal and repository and Catania already worked on the solution of bypossa-instance (which i consider relevant as we discuss citizen lexicography!).
The question is if it is possible to use gLibrary to startup a new repository, for the needs of the workshop (and follow up workshops with other DH-, citizen science and open innovation congresses, e.g. TEEM´2016, which the attendants can fill it up with their own data (auth with > ORC.ID?) or it is better (easier) to use a copy of Sci-GaIA open access repository?
In the latter case, Davor Davidovics believes that the OAR VM can be easily installed, setup and run on one of the dariah-vo sites. How difficult would be to embed the OAR repo in DARIAH Science Portal?
Also, I've (Davor Davidovic), downloaded OAR and trying to install it on my local machine (via VM) but need a default OAR credentials to access the instance.
Second, when the repo is up (gLib or OAR) we should add it to PSSE (or SSE?). I hope PSSE and SSE will be embedded into DARIAH SG by September, if not, we can use your instances on Catania SG.
PyBossa framework would be really very helpful, because we could run on this for sure applications that people could use on their data, which makes presentation for humanists it by far more efficient and would support and stimulate the data collection.
We @DavorDavidovic_23d9 plan to work on it mostly in the second half of August, since I'm (Davor) is on holidays starting tomorrow till 16th August. So, the first step is to > setup and configure the repository and from that on we can start connecting applications (PSSE, wikidata, visualization, etc...).
Do you have time (and wish:) ) to help us with this setting it up? Davor will also include Zoltan if we go with integration into the DARIAH SG portal.
Thanks for feedback and help on this.
Warm regards from vienna:
